nesting instinct?...

I keep reading about all of this "nesting" humbo jumbo in my pregnancy books, and i thought it was nonsense. birds nest; humans don't. as usual, i was WRONG!
Last saturday we went up to orange county for my last baby shower. on the way home, i came up with this wonderful idea that we needed to get rid of the ugly tile that was in our kitchen and entryway, and replace it with some cheap (but nice looking) wood from ikea BEFORE the baby comes...
So, we stopped by ikea on our way home, bought the wood, came home, pulled out the old tile, and TRIED to find a cheap, legal handy-man to do the job. ..lucky for us, it took a FULL week to find a handy-man that would give us a fair price. he started this morning, and said he can have it done by wednesday. . .
Andy just told me that his sister is coming to visit us on wednesday- which is exciting- BUT she hasn't seen our condo yet, and if she has to see it in this condition, i think i will cry. ugh.
My house has been clean and "baby ready" for the past month..until now... oh yes, and i'm officially in my 37th week and the doctor told me the baby can come any day between now, and the next 3 weeks. splendid! - if he comes this week, I think i will hide out in the hospital until the house is complete...

2 things. I LOVE the paint. You are skinny. Your floors look nice with just the concrete. Okay that was 3. But I hope it helps you feel better.
Your house is beautiful Jenny and babies can't even see for like 5 months and then they can't talk for another year. So he won't care or complain. If you're really worried just make people visit on the porch when they come over to see the baby. There is no law you have to invite them in.

That was a joke about visiting on the porch. You can just bring the baby down to their car to look at. Keeps the visits real short.
